I got into hot yoga much like I think many others; through invitation. My wife had introduced me to a local Modo Yoga studio in another city. I didn’t realize how much I needed this in my life. Prior to practicing hot yoga, I associated exercise mostly with what is perhaps considered mainstream activities such as typical sports and lifting weights. As soon as I had just one hot yoga class, I was hooked. Hot yoga embodied for me more than just “exercise”. Yoga challenges the way I perceive things, and I feel like I really need to continue to explore this side of myself, and I think that many others feel the same way.

There are many unknowns in life, and I acknowledge that many of these unknowns will not necessarily be answered, but at least, with the tools that yoga employs, and in my opinion, yoga’s underpinning foundation of meditation and mindfulness, can be of great service to all seeking interoception and exteroception of life.

Taking a yoga class and teaching yoga classes are so complementary to each other and I am always grateful to have this opportunity to forge ahead. I hope that the richness of my experience carries through, even during the toughest of times, in whatever role I participate in. See you soon!
